Placement Agent Services
As placement agent, we represent the business or fund raising capital. We identify the right investors, make the introductions, manage the conversations and run the process from the first call to signed documents.
The market
Most Gulf allocators invest with counterparties they know or that come recommended. A placement agent with established relationships shortens that path, and a disciplined process protects the client's standing in a market where reputation travels quickly.
What we do
Investor targeting
Building a tiered list of investors whose mandate, ticket size and appetite genuinely fit the raise.
Materials and positioning
Preparing or refining the teaser, information memorandum, model and data room for Gulf investors.
Introductions and meetings
Making introductions, arranging meetings in London and the Gulf, and preparing management for each one.
Process management
Running the timetable, tracking feedback and keeping momentum across every investor conversation.
Terms and closing
Supporting negotiation of terms and co-ordinating the work through to signing and funds.
Fund and co-investment placements
Placements for fund managers raising from Gulf limited partners, and co-investment alongside a fund or sponsor.
How we work
We represent the party raising capital. We are not the investor, we do not manage money and we never take custody of client or investor funds. Capital moves directly between investor and company.
A small number of mandates
We take on a small number of placements at a time and only where we believe the raise suits the investors we work with. A few well-matched conversations achieve more than broad circulation.
Honest feedback
Where an investor passes, we find out why. Consolidated, candid feedback improves the conversations that follow and sometimes changes the shape of the raise.
Considerations
Before appointing a placement agent
- Check the firm is registered and verifiable
- Understand exactly how and when the agent is paid
- Ask which investors they will approach, and why
- Confirm the agent never handles investor money
- Be wary of anyone who guarantees an outcome
Who leads the work
Every mandate is led by a Founding Partner and run by a senior team, supported by our analysts in London, with our Head of GCC Coverage leading investor relationships across the Gulf.

Questions
Frequently asked.
What does a placement agent do?
A placement agent represents a business or fund raising capital, identifies suitable investors, makes introductions and manages the process through to close. It does not invest its own money or hold investor funds.
Is a placement agent the same as an investment bank?
Not quite. Investment banks offer a wider range of services and tend to focus on larger transactions. A placement agent concentrates on finding investors and running a private raise.
Will you ask me to pay to release investor funds?
Never. Any request to pay a fee to release, unlock or guarantee funds is a hallmark of fraud. Please report it to us.
